Business Profile
e-pay, a Euronet
Worldwide subsidiary, provides an electronic method to replenish
airtime on prepaid mobile phones and other prepaid telecommunications
products. e-pay allows retailers to top-up a consumer prepaid mobile
phone in a matter of seconds, without the risks of inventory issues
associated with paper vouchers. The company offers a choice of top-up
technology at the point of sale, from dedicated small terminals to EPoS integration
and customer-operated E
Kiosks. e-pay has 40% of the U.K. and Australia market share
for top-up services, and 60% of the Malaysia market share. Approximately
60 million transactions and growing are processed per month at approximately 409,000 points-of-sale terminals across approximately 212,000 retail locations by e-pay
and its sister subsidiaries worldwide.
e-pay has extended its product line to include offerings
which are complementary to prepaid mobile airtime. At e-pay locations,
consumers can purchase prepaid
phonecards & credit vouchers and prepaid
mobile content, such as ring tones and games. In the future, consumers
will be able to use e-pay terminals to participate in mobile loyalty
programs and to purchase other products.
